After a quick hello with icy weather, this week our area has blue skies and warmer temperatures. Birds are chirping and I find myself hoping for Spring! We still have another month before Spring officially begins, but why not bring it indoors?
Below are three unique ideas for adding flowers to your home. And the fun thing about each of these three is we found them through a thrift store! Milk glass, crystal, and silver can all be found at your local thrift store if are persistent (check out this blog post for more thrifting tips + tricks!)
1. Lay flowers gently in a silver serving bowl
Quick tip: don't polish the silver when you bring it home! The patina gives the bowl texture and charm.
2. Introduce a milk glass vase to fresh greenery
Milk glass is easy to find, and the classic look shows well at special events and weddings.
3. Add flowers to a sparkly crystal decanter
I found this crystal decanter last winter at our local Habitat Restore. We aren't liquor drinkers, but I love the design and it fits in well on our brass bar cart.
