December is officially the season for holiday parties! And I am ALL about simple entertaining, especially when it comes to hosting family and friends. Have you noticed the cooler weather outside? It has been in the 50s in the mornings this week in North Carolina. And it has me craving pumpkin & apple everything!

Summer is here!! And I am trying to think of recipes this summer I can make with my kids. I've shared before that our kids are picky eaters, due to some sensory aversions. So when it came time to design these vanilla pudding pops, our kids voted for sprinkles over fruit--and I obliged.
I have great memories of pudding pops from when I was a child. Some recipes call for cool whip or condensed milk, but I kept these simple with milk. If your kids are anything like mine we don't need the extra sugar! I also opted for paper cups over popsicle molds, because we already had the cups on hand and I think it makes the recipe feel a little more classic/retro.
I made these vanilla pudding pops with patriotic sprinkles since we are getting close to July 4th--you could easily customize the popsicles with your favorite colors! They are perfect for a hot day, make 10 per batch (great for a picnic or cookout) and are kid approved :)

Call it homemade chocolate sauce, call it homemade chocolate frosting. Either way--this 5 ingredient recipe is fresh, rich, and much simpler to make than you'd think.
Last weekend was my husband's birthday. I wanted to bake something special, but didn't have time to bake from scratch. So I made cupcakes from a natural cake mix and offered two different frostings to the adults and kids to top themselves.
I whipped up this semisweet chocolate sauce in minutes in one of my cast iron skillets. It was a hit! And leftovers (if you have any!) keep well in the fridge.
