Last year I decorated a pure white Christmas tree in our living room, but I changed it up this year with a new flocked Christmas tree. I love the bit of green that shows through with snowy white tips. Vintage accessories, warm lights, and silver ornaments feel warm and welcoming on a modern Christmas tree.

We've lived in our home for 4 years and we really love our screened porch. As a family we spend more time there than we do in the living room. And when friends come over we naturally walk out to the back porch to catch up.
My husband works from home and he has adopted the screened porch as his secondary office. He had a lot of say in the redesign/refresh of our porch design and requested the porch have a masculine, cabin feel. And I think we pulled it off! The space feels cozy and welcoming with a lot of wood tones. I'm ready to share our global-inspired breakfast nook update with you! Its been a few months coming, and while the space in some ways has stayed the same (we kept our original table and chairs) I love the personality it now has. It feels more us. Repurposing several things, and adding in pieces that look more expensive than they really cost.

I am planning a makeover in our two kids' bedrooms! They each have their own room, but we haven't decorated their spaces and made the rooms as functional as they could be. Their furniture worked in our previous home but it isn't ideal for their current room layouts.
4 things to consider before buying new kids' beds:
Quality (Will this chip after a year? Can we clean it? Is it solid wood?)
Functionality (Is it comfortable? Does it have more than 1 purpose?)
Price (Affordability is a big factor, but it also needs to be good quality)
Style (Fit with house aesthetic. Will they like it in 5 years as teens?)
