I love a good seasonal wreath on my front door, but like many of you I don't have $40+ dollars to spend each season! So when I spotted a lonely looking $6 pinecone wreath at the thrift store a few weeks ago, I knew it just needed a little sprucing up to make it look fresh and add a natural touch.

Gourds naturally have a nice, rustic look and are beautiful as-is (my kids call them bee hives!) but our home style is a bit more modern. And white paint worked wonderfully on these! Can you feel it? Autumn is in the air! The past few days we have actually felt cool weather in the mornings and it is so refreshing! It finally feels timely to think about decorating and making some fall-ish recipes. And this cinnamon+clove scented candle is the perfect way to begin!

Yesterday my husband and I went to two first-grade Thanksgiving plays...happening at the same time...in two different classrooms. Happy Thanksgiving dear readers. Wishing you a holiday filled with joy and thankfulness.

I read that when lit beeswax candles clear the air and are a good choice for allergy sufferers. They were much easier to make than I expected, and I have since also made beeswax candles with cinnamon!
